Create your support account
An account keeps your tickets together and lets us reach you with the answer. It takes a minute, and it is only for support: it is not a wallet, it holds no coins and it has nothing to do with the chain.
Signing up with an email address
Go to support.l2protocol.com and choose Create account. You give an email address, your name and a password of at least ten characters.
We send a confirmation link to that address. Click it and the account is ready. Until you do, you cannot sign in yet, which is deliberate: the address has to work, because that is where every reply goes.
If the email does not arrive, look in the spam folder first, then ask for a new link from the sign-in page.
Or continue with an account you already have
Instead of a password you can sign in with Google, Apple, Microsoft, Discord, Telegram or your wallet, depending on which are enabled. It is the same account either way, and you can add more ways in later.
Two things to know:
We still need an email address. If the provider does not share a confirmed one with us, the sign-in cannot complete, because ticket updates have to reach you somehow.
A wallet is a way in, not an identity check. Signing in with a wallet means signing a short message, which costs nothing and moves nothing. It never gives the desk any access to your funds.
The name you choose
The name on your profile is what agents see on your tickets. Use something you will recognise in a conversation. It is not public and it is not shown to other customers.
Forgot your password
Forgot your password on the sign-in page sends a reset link. The page says the link is on its way whether or not the address has an account, which is on purpose: it stops anyone using the form to find out who has an account here.
Reset links expire. If yours has, ask for a new one.
Adding a second way in
Once you are signed in, Profile has a Connected accounts section where you can attach Google, Discord, Telegram or a wallet to the account you already have. Handy if you would rather not type a password every time.
You cannot remove your only way in. Set a password, or connect something else, before disconnecting the last one.
Signed in somewhere you do not recognise
Profile lists your active sessions, with the device, the address they came from and when they started. Anything you do not recognise can be signed out from there, and Sign out everywhere else clears them all in one go.
Your data
The profile page also has Download my data, which gives you everything the desk holds about you: your profile, and every ticket with all its messages.
