Using the burn site

Every figure on l2pburn.info, the daily chart, and what the page can and cannot tell you.

Using the burn site

l2pburn.info is one page that answers one question: how much L2P has been taken out of circulation, and how fast is that still happening.

There is nothing to connect and nothing to press. No wallet, no account, no risk. It is a dashboard, and the only thing it can do is show you numbers.

Fee burn explains what the burn is. This page explains what you are looking at.

The card

The panel on the right of the top of the page holds five figures. They are the whole story in one place.

Figure What it means
Burned so far Everything sitting at the burn address, in L2P. The running total since the chain began
Last 24 hours Fee burns over the past day
Last 7 days Fee burns over the past week
Burn ratio The share of every transaction fee that is currently burned
Latest block The block the chain has just produced

Under them is the burn address itself, which links through to that address on the block explorer. Everything on this page can be checked there, which is the point of showing it.

The card refreshes on its own every fifteen seconds. On a busy chain you can watch the total move.

The chart

Below the card, one bar per day for the last thirty days, so you can see the shape of the burn rather than a single number. Hover a bar to read the exact amount for that day.

A day with no burns at all shows as an empty slot rather than being skipped, so the spacing stays honest. If nothing was burned in the entire period, a line under the chart says so.

Unlike the card, the chart is drawn when the page loads. Reload the page to bring it up to date.

Under the chart stands Indexed up to block. That is how far the site has read the chain while adding up the daily figures. Compare it with Latest block in the card: when the two are close, everything you are seeing is current.

How it works

The four cards further down walk through the burn in the order it happens: you pay gas, the contract splits the fee, the burned share leaves for a wallet nobody owns, and governance decides how big that share is.

Two panels under them say plainly what the burn does and does not mean. They are worth reading once, because a lot of what gets said about burns elsewhere is not true here. Questions about the burn goes through those in more detail.

What the site does not do

It does not predict anything, it does not track a price, and it has no schedule to announce. It reports what the chain already did.

It also cannot take input. There is no form, no wallet connection and no button that sends anything. If a page claiming to be about the L2P burn ever asks you to connect a wallet or approve something, you are not on this site.
