Every site, service and channel that is really ours, and how to tell a fake from the real one.

Official links

This is the full list of everything that is really ours. Bookmark this page, and check anything against it before you connect a wallet or send a coin.

If a site is not on this list, it is not ours. There is no exception, no partner portal and no special page that somebody sends you privately.

The sites

What it is Address
The project l2protocol.com
This documentation docs.l2protocol.com
Block explorer l2pscan.com
Staking and validators validators.l2protocol.com
Governance governance.l2protocol.com
Community vote voting.l2protocol.com
The burn l2pburn.info
Network status l2stats.dev
Names names.l2protocol.com
Support support.l2protocol.com

Two of those do not sit on l2protocol.com, which is exactly the kind of detail a scammer relies on: l2pscan.com, l2pburn.info and l2stats.dev are ours. Check them against this page rather than against the shape of the name.

The services behind them

You never have to visit these, but tooling does, and it is useful to be able to recognise them.

What it is Address

The chain list chains.l2protocol.com
Static files and the genesis static.l2protocol.com

Cloned Telegram groups and Discord servers are the most common trick there is. A group with the right name, the right picture and a few hundred fake members costs nothing to make. Get in through the links here, not through a link somebody sent you or an invite you were added to.

How to check you are on the right site

Read the address bar, not the page. A fake site is a perfect copy of the real one apart from its address. That is the only place the difference shows.

Check the whole domain, from the right. l2protocol.com.example.net is not ours; the part that matters is the bit just before the first single slash. l2protocol-wallet.com, l2-protocol.com and l2protocol.io are not ours either.

Use your own bookmark. Once you are somewhere real, bookmark it and use the bookmark from then on. That defeats search adverts, typosquats and links in messages in one move.

Be suspicious of search results. Paid adverts above the real result are a routine way of getting fake sites in front of people looking for the real one.

Things that are never real

A message from support that you did not start. We answer tickets you opened at support.l2protocol.com. We do not message you first, not on Telegram, not on Discord, not by email.

Anyone asking for your seed phrase. For any reason, in any words, ever. See Get a wallet.

A giveaway, an airdrop or a bonus that needs you to send coins first. Send one, receive two is the oldest trick in this industry and it is still the most profitable one.

Somebody selling you L2P privately. However urgent, however good the rate.

A site that asks you to connect a wallet to claim, verify, validate, migrate, unlock or restore something. None of those words describe anything we do.

If you are not sure

Ask before you act. Open a ticket at support.l2protocol.com with the link you are looking at, and wait for the answer. That costs you an hour. Guessing has cost other people everything they had.
